Event management company, Ark Multimedia has launched the first edition of National Schools Debate solely for Senior High Schools on Friday, June 14, 2018. The company is using this medium to motivate students to stick to their books, broaden their horizon and acquire knowledge through the provision of solutions to problems affecting our societies.
According to the organizers of the debate, a team will tour the various schools to take the students through important rules that apply to debate, what they need to know, areas that will be focused on and many other things. These activities will take place before the day of the debate comes out but organizers assured that it will be this year.

At the launch, students from Achimota, Pope John, Adisadel College, Legon Presec where put in groups to debate on the topic; Is investigative journalism the way to fight corruption in Ghana?. Group one was for the motion while group two was against the motion. The two groups submitted their valid points in order to carry the day which was well received by the audience. In the end, no winner was declared as it is per the rules of the debate but, there were lessons of how smart these students are and their willingness to take up issues of national interest and debate them out.
