INTERVIEW: I Played Shatta Wale’s Songs & Convinced BLACK BEACH Producers To Use Them In The Movie – Ghanaian Filmmaker Louis Acquahman

Ghanaian filmmaker, Louis Acquahman who was the location manager for the movie BLACK BEACH directed by Esteban Crespo, a Spanish film-maker, has revealed and thrown further light on the shooting process and work that went into making on the film in Ghana starting from 2017.

Ghanaian entertainment admirers realized two of Shatta Wale’s songs, MY LEVEL and AYOO were used in the movie, after streaming giant, Netflix released the trailer. The producers also used various tourist sites like Cape Coast and Elmina Castles in the film, which Louis confirmed in an exclusive interview.

He shared his role in convincing the producers during the shoot to use Shatta Wale’s songs which had been playing regularly on set. His actions prompted the producers to start asking questions about Ghanaian musicians, he recommended Kofi Kinaata, Kuami Eugene, Shatta Wale and more. The producers then spoke to the management of these artistes and finally settled on Shatta Wale.
