Real Madrid now know the identity of their first opponents at the 2017 Club World Cup, with ‘Los Blancos’ set to take on Al-Jazira.
Al-Jazira are the champions of the UAE Arabian Gulf League and will thus claim home advantage for the tournament, which is being held in the United Arab Emirates.
The ‘Pride of Abu Dhabi’ sealed their place in the semi-finals with a 1-0 win over Japanese side Urawa Red Diamonds thanks to a goal from Ali Mabkhout early in the second half.
Real go into the tournament hoping to defend their title, having beaten Kashima Antlers 4-2 (AET) to claim the trophy last year.
Zinedine Zidane’s side also have previous in the competition, having eased past San Lorenzo (2-0) in 2014 to win their first title.
The Spanish giants will go into the tournament in good form after they eased past Sevilla 5-0 in La Liga on Saturday.
