Ghana’s leading manufacturer of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks has achieved another hallmark in its operations. The company was on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, endorsed by senior executives from the Foods and Drugs Authority led by its Chief Executive Officer, Ms Delese Mimi Darko as the best safety adhering company in the country.
During a short ceremony held at the media room of Kasapreko Company Limited, Ms Mimi expressed her delight in the safety operations the company adheres to regularly. One of such tools is the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP); which is an internationally accepted food safety tool used by the Foods and Drugs Authority to eliminate the impact of harmful elements in the production process which starts from the acquisition of raw materials to final products.
She further explained the benefits of HACCP; it protects the consumer from food poisoning and foodborne diseases, it helps assure the consumer of the safe nature of the products from the company, increase marketing rate of the products and also protect the company from legal actions should the need arise.
Selected staff from Kasapreko Company Limited who have successfully gone through the HACCP training system where presented with a certificate as identification to show how safe foods from the company is treated.
The Financial Director of Kasapreko Company Limited, Enoch Teiko in his speech promised that the company will continue to follow the safety processes always to make sure the consumers get the best from them.
