Cina Soul Draws Attention To The Effect Of Domestic Abuse In ‘Killi Mi’

Ghanaian singer, Cina Soul is using her new single to preach against physical and emotional abuse.

The soul singer releases Killi Mi a few days ago and immediately caught the attention of folks on social media for the clarity in the message on domestic violence against women across the continent. With most of the words within the song delivered softly on a low tempo beat created by Nii Quaye, the 23-year-old navigates her way perfectly through the song revealing difficult situations women are faced with constantly in the hands of their lovers.

A Gene Adu video translated the idea behind the song to music lovers, where the Universal Music Group Nigeria signee goes through an abusive relationship with her partner who throws all forms of physical and emotional attacks on her.

Things even get worse without any help from her family, and she is left to face the demon she calls a partner alone.
