Davido Talks ‘Feeling Hurt’ For Being Left Out Of GIFT Album By Beyoncé

Nigerian musician Davido has shared his thought on the Gift album by Beyoncé, which gather musicians across the world with majority coming from Africa.

Big names on the continent like Ghana’s Shatta Wale, compatriot Wizkid, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade and several others were recruited by Beyoncé for the album, recorded as the official soundtrack project for the Lion King remake by Disney.

Speaking with Ebuka on Bounce radio, Davido stated that the painful part was the fact that most of the producers that worked on the album were his friends. But, none of them informed him of the album being in the works, he also revealed that he feels strongly that it was a planned thing to leave him out.

Beyoncé released the Gift album last year but shared the visuals for it this year, with most of the shoot done in Africa, Europe, America and other parts of the world.
