Edouard Mendy Becomes The First African Goalkeeper To Win Best FIFA Men’s Award And Club World Cup

After 12 Months Without a club in early 2015, the Senegalese goalkeeper was on the verge of giving up his dream of playing football, he took unemployment benefits and nearly accepted a job as a menswear shop attended offered to him by a close friend.

Six years down the lane, he is now the first choice keeper for premier league giant, Chelsea. He Has won the Africa Cup Of Nations With Senegal and Won the Champions League And The Club World Cup with Chelsea.

He Was named the Best FIFA Goalkeeper Award in 2021 beating Italy’s Gianluigi Donnarumma and Bayern Munich’s Manuel Neuer to win the coveted prize.
