Urban gospel musician Kwabena Boateng is asking gospel musicians to sing inspiring songs that draw unbelievers to the Lord.
According to Kwabena Boateng, our gospel music lately seems to dwell on riches and other matters and not preaching the word to win souls for Christ.
“People pay attention to the words we use in our song and I entreat gospel musicians to use encouraging words that will turn an unbeliever to a believer. I admire someone like Minister O J and Joe Mettle when it comes to that and I will urge other gospel musicians to tow that lane” he said.
Although he has only few songs out there, Kwabena Boateng says it is better he sings about inspiring songs to win souls for God or not sing at all.
“I have told myself to always write positive songs that praise God and few of my songs I have out there are testimonies of that. I have I will Fellow You and Dwell In Me which praises God for all the wonderful things He has done” he said.
Kwabena Boateng is currently promoting his latest single Grace & Love asking God why He still looks after him despite his sins.
Speaking in an interview recently, Kwabena Boateng, a graduate of the University of Ghana,( Legon) said although breaking through with Urban gospel is not easy, he would succeed because he does good music.
“When you believe in yourself and the good material you have Ghanaians will buy what you are selling. I do good music and I pay particular attention to my video music because I stand for perfection” he said.
Although Kwabena Boateng is based in the USA, he often comes down and he says his team is in Ghana pushing his works for him . “Covid -19 has slowed everything but my hardworking team are doing a great job for me. He is not signed under any record label he says he is looking forward to working with any serious manager” he said
