Former Miss Tourism Ghana Beauty Queen, Dorothy Ndede Kojo has donated sanitary pads through the Ndede Kojo Foundation to young girls in the Western Region of Ghana.
The donation activities were held on December 26, 2019, as part of celebrating the festive season with girls from Adu Suazo, a remote village in the Western part of the country.
Dorothy Ndede Kojo partnered with Faytex Sanitary Pad for the donation, the foundation also held an educational session on menstruation and personal hygiene, and lastly, books were also given out.
Elders, parents and children of the village were filled with joy and showed much appreciation to the foundation’s effort in making this year’s Christmas a memorable one and even requested that the foundation return the next year.
“I believe we all have the responsibility to care and help the people who are less privileged than us and I am really grateful to each and everyone who contributed to making this donation a success,” Dorothy Ndede Kojo said during the donation.
After the donation, the foundation expressed their gratitude to the MCE of the Jomoro municipal assembly Honourable Ernest Koffie for his immense support towards this project, fay international for the sanitary pads, to the chief, elders and teachers of Adu Suazo for bringing the community together and lastly to family and friends who donated and volunteered to support the donation.
