Female empowerment brand, Footsteps Ghana has announced its official talent hunt program dubbed Lady With The Mic. The brand draws its core values from creativity and diversity, hence putting in place the necessary structure and platforms to unearth the next big female musician from Ghana to the world.
Footsteps is teaming up with a recognized label like BBNZ and music distribution and marketing portal such as Aftown to prepare a wholesome package for the winner of the maiden edition. Also, an additional mouthwatering package is the chance for the winner to grace one of the biggest musical stages in the United Kingdom, Ghana Party In The Park. A festival organized for Ghanaians and other Africans living in the United Kingdom with big-name acts, the festival has a track record of exposing African entertainers to the UK audience.
At the launch on April 16, 2019, at the premises of BBNZ headquarters in Accra, Footsteps Ghana gave the criteria to qualify one for the audition as starting from age 16 and above, two auditions have already been held with more to roll out in the coming weeks. When selected, organizers will take the ladies through camping and grooming to understand every aspect of music before competitions will be held for the public to vote the winner.
