Ghanaian designer Virgil Abloh will be working with the Chief Design Officer for Mercedes-Benz, Gorden Wagener to create limited artwork for the brand’s G-Class cars.
The Mercedes-Benz G-Class celebrated its fortieth-anniversary last year and as such a unique design will be rolled out by the company in partnership with the menswear artistic director at Louis Vuitton.
According to reports, the design will be labelled as ‘Project Geländewagen.’
“Mercedes-Benz is a brand that stands for luxury and exceptional performance, Truly a perfect chassis to interject modern artists’ ideas of what the future can be stylistically, within conceptual car design,” Abloh said.
The new collaboration will be launched on Mercedes-Benz’s website on September 8.
