Kasapreko Company Limited begins the process of building a new ultra-modern factory to cut down unemployment in Kumasi

The government of Ghana, under its flagship programme, One-district one-factory, is assisting Kasapreko Company Limited to access a $20 million Eximbank loan to build a subsidiary state-of-the-art factory to produce its products for the northern sector of the country and for export.

Duration The construction of the multipurpose factory, which begins almost immediately and expected to be completed by June this year, is to create about 3,000 direct and indirect jobs for the youth especially those at Tanoso in the Atwima Nwabiagya District of the Ashanti region. Production Per the timetable, installation of equipment and production begins in August this year. Coordinator The National Coordinator for a 1 district 1 factory project, Mrs Gifty Ohene-Konadu, led a team of technical experts from the Ministry of Trade and Industry to tour the 10,000-metre square layout and to look at the prototype drawings and make suggestions.

The factory which is to complement an already existing structure at the Tanoso site is expected to produce about 85,000 bottles of all brands including the famous Awake purify bottle water, Royal drinks, 10/10 drinks, superstar and fancy drink a day.

Mrs Ohene-Konadu said  Kasapreko proposal under the policy qualified under one of the areas ‘government support’ intended to promote local industries and create jobs. The other two areas which government has categorised its assistance for local industries are self-help and expansion. She commended Kasapreko for a comprehensive proposal to partner governments to create jobs and alleviate poverty. CEO The Chief Executive Officer for Kasapreko, Richard Adjei, said the location of the subsidiary factory was strategic for it to ease the pressure on the main factory in Accra from serving people in the Ashanti region and beyond.

He said Kasapreko has over the years invested over $80 million in the expansion and upgrade of the factory in Accra. Group Chairman The Group Chairman, Dr Kwabena Adjei, said the company was a Ghanian-owned company with 30 years in operations and currently the only total beverage company with ISO certificate in Ghana. He said with requisite support, Kasapreko could make Ghana one of it’s trusted brands in the foreign market.

About Kasapreko Kasapreko, established some 30 years ago at Nungua, a suburb in Accra is the largest producer of carbonated soft drinks and alcohol in the country and has the widest product range to satisfy all consumer taste and preference.

After several months of back and forth in Dubai in an alleged fraud case involving the owner the Menzgold Company Limited Nana Appiah Mensah, information reaching us revealed the Ghanaian businessman has been cleared of all charges by the authorities in Dubai.

Sammy Baah Flex, the Head of Communication of Zylofon Media, a company owned by Nana Appiah Mensah dispatched the news on Zylofon FM on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, stating that he was told by a management member of Menzgold.

To confirm the information, Nana Appiah Mensah took to his Instagram page for the first time in many years to publish a victory message, thanking God for seeing him through.

This development could mean a lot for Menzgold customers who are expected to be paid gradually when Nana Appiah Mensah finally touches down Ghana. Even though, it is not clear when he will be back in the country, winning the court case in Dubai is the first step in the right direction.

Dr Gabriel Odeh Apotey Is The New Chief Operation Officer Of Upper Manya Kro Rural Bank Limited

Gabriel Odeh Apotey was appointed Acting Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Upper Manya Kro Rural Bank Limited effective on 1st March 2019 by the Board of Directors of the Bank.

Apotey has two(2) books to his credit and has authored four(4) articles published in International Journals particularly in the USA and India.

The aforementioned, he emphasizes, is not by his might but the doings of God. Gabriel has a strong attachment to the ministrations of Apostle Emmanuel Adom of The Apostolic Church Ghana, Rev Eastwood Anaba of Fountain Gate Chapel and Prophetess Mercy Aidoo of Mankessim.

He expresses utmost gratitude to some persons who have inspired and helped him to climb the ladder of success.
