Canadian – based Ghanaian gospel songwriter, composer and singer, Abigail Coleman unveiled two beautiful, inspirational and soulful singles on July 5 at Mangoase Restaurant. The charming vocal powerhouse organized industry experts, friends and family to listen and critique the two songs titled Tumi and Mekra before she brings them out for mass consumption.
She revealed right after the video for Tumi was played that she went through a lot at the time she wrote the song. One of the most challenging moment among the lot was when she lost her newly born baby at the hospital in her arms. It was a very miserable experience for her but with the help of her husband, family and pastor she gathered courage. This experience birthed the song Tumi.
However, Mekra was based purely on the little things we take for granted when worshipping our creator.
She also took time to clear the air on any misunderstanding between herself and afrobeat songstress, Becca admitting that even though she contributed to authoring most of the songs on the Sugar album for Becca which we (tmghlive) revealed earlier in the week, she still has a peaceful relationship with Becca.
