The digital age has changed a lot of things in the entertainment industry. MTN Ghana took the opportunity to enable its customers including artiste managers, producer, distributors, marketers et al get first-hand information on how to use several tools and platforms available online to reach a bigger audience.
On Thursday, January 17, 2019, the company held the Digital Music Conference 2019 at Alisa Hotel-Accra, throwing invitation to all to attend. With speakers picked from different sectors of the industry. For online music publications, the company chose Fiifi Adinkra (CEO of GhanaNdwom), Jonilar, and Alex Abaka (Rufftown Records).
Also, Munay Chanetsa from South Africa, Abraham Ohene Djan (O.M Studios), and Piano Di Benedetto (Universal Music Africa) touched on the migration from the traditional way of music marketing to the digital age.
The conference wasn’t just about long messages, musicians such as Pappy Kojo, Dada KD, Rex Omar and Yaw Sarpong entertained the audience with good music with coffee breaks for refreshment.
At the end of the conference, most of the attendees confessed to having learned a lot they will embed into their works as industry players.
