MTN HEROES OF CHANGE: Ebeyeyie Foundation Helps Hearing-Impaired Communities With COVID-19 Intervention

MTN continues to provide the enabling environment and structures to help Ghanaians across the country, the Heroes of Change program is one of the many projects run by the company to throw the spotlight on citizens who are helping others in need. The new season takes a look at the works of heroic individuals and groups during COVID-19.

COVID-19 brought the world to a stand with governments looking for several means for prevention and cure of the virus. The introduction of the vaccines help but not everyone was able to take them because of either location or lack of education and understanding of the importance of the vaccine.

Ebeyeyie Foundation which was nominated by Miss Mary-Ann Addo revealed the timely COVID-19 intervention through educating and providing PPEs (Personal Protection Equipments) such as nose marks, hand sanitisers, and more to derived communities with hearing-impaired citizens, the foundation performs this challenging and risk activities. Led by Isacc Ofori, he revealed how he and his team visited these communities with bad roads, and then they operate with a limited budget. But were able to reach as many hearing-impaired people as possible.

The MTN Heroes of Change season six finalist made the effort to change lives and bring smiles to the faces of the hearing-impaired people in the country.
