Ghana has lost another talented footballer, Junior Agogo kicked the bucket on August 22nd, 2019 in the United Kingdom.
Junior Agogo capped 27 times for the senior national team, the Black Stars and scored 11 goals for the team. He had has a sterling career, mainly in the United Kingdom playing for teams like Nottingham Forrest, Sheffield Wednesday and Bristol Rovers. He moved overseas from the UK to play in Cyprus, Scotland and the United States of America, however, his career came to a standstill in 2015 when he suffered a stroke that impaired his speech partially.
In 2008, Agogo helped Ghana reached the third place in the Africa Cup of Nations, he scored the winning goal against Nigeria, the team lost against Cameroon but beat Côte D’Ivoire to the third spot.
Tributes have been pouring in since news of his demise came out.
