A lot of people have accused Legendary Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie of being conceited and arrogant and as such, not particularly bothered about helping others grow in the industry.
But however, Nigerian superstar singer, Peter Okoye thinks in the vice versa.To his view, the Ghanaian rapper’s humility is what makes them bond.
During a recent interview with Joy News’ Doreen Avio, Mr P formerly of P-Square defended Sarkodie’s decision to promote his album. There was serious public backlash as a result with many calling out the fastest rapper in Ghana across his social media pages. He was then accused of helping Nigerians and neglecting those from his own country. Peter Okoye pointed out during the interview:
We still have people who don’t like you no matter what, even Almighty Jesus Christ was crucified.
This is Africa and you can’t just say because he put up my music, people are sad that he is not doing that for his fellow people, Sarkodie is one of the most humble musicians I have met in Ghana”.
Mr P was recently in Ghana for Sarkodie’s wedding and to promote other projects.
