Shatta Wale Leads The Pack Of 3Music Awards 2019 Winners | See Full List Here 

The best from the music industry gathered under one roof to witness the 3Music Awards 2019 on March 30 at the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair, Accra- Ghana, and be honoured for their hard work for the year under review.

A lot of the acts billed to perform from Victor AD (Nigeria) Tulenky, Eddie Khae, Quamina MP, Kofi Mole, Wendy Shay, Cina Soul to Shatta Wale and several others put up top class performances.

On a night carefully and beautifully hosted by Lexis Bill (Joy FM) and Cookie Tee (Starr FM) proved the organizers are on top of their game and it’s award show that’s here to stay and help build the vibrant industry.

It was clearly a Shatta Wale night, the dancehall music heavyweight grabbed 8 awards, Stonebwoy also won but the surprise was when Sarkodie didn’t pick anything at all.

Footsteps Ghana Is Hunting For The Next-Rated Female Musical Talent: Lady With The Mic

Female empowerment brand, Footsteps Ghana has announced its official talent hunt program dubbed Lady With The Mic. The brand draws its core values from creativity and diversity, hence putting in place the necessary structure and platforms to unearth the next big female musician from Ghana to the world.

Footsteps is teaming up with a recognized label like BBNZ and music distribution and marketing portal such as Aftown to prepare a wholesome package for the winner of the maiden edition. Also, an additional mouthwatering package is the chance for the winner to grace one of the biggest musical stages in the United Kingdom, Ghana Party In The Park. A festival organized for Ghanaians and other Africans living in the United Kingdom with big-name acts, the festival has a track record of exposing African entertainers to the UK audience.

At the launch on April 16, 2019, at the premises of BBNZ headquarters in Accra, Footsteps Ghana gave the criteria to qualify one for the audition as starting from age 16 and above, two auditions have already been held with more to roll out in the coming weeks. When selected, organizers will take the ladies through camping and grooming to understand every aspect of music before competitions will be held for the public to vote the winner.

Keche Pens Managerial Deal With Golden Empire Legacy – A Career Booster

Often at times, the challenge for most musicians is the availability of money to execute the various project they have in mind both short and long term.

Music duo, Keche, a composition of Joshua Kojo Ampah and Andrew Kofi Cudjoe can let go a huge sigh of relief after the group penned a two year managerial deal with Golden Empire Legacy, a company founded and operated by Joana Gyan.

The aspect of the contract revealed to the gathering of media executives, pressmen and the business people from the business industry include, the company handling over a cash amount of 500,000 Ghana Cedis, one brand new Elantra cars to each member of the group and also two three-bedroom houses.

Speaking to the group after the signing, with a lot of excitement written all over their faces, both Joshua and Andrew were emphatic in their submission, stating the deal will go a long way to help carter for the several unreleased projects they have in their warehouse. Also, help stage international shows that will expose the brand more to Africa and the rest of the world.

Nothing really changed from their previous management as the head of George Britton Records, George Britton will continue to handle their day-to-day activities but, will now have to work under Golden Empire Legacy.

Kidi is preparing to release a new album called ‘Sugar‘ but, the twist to this project is, he is picturing a bigger destination for it.

He has shot a movie bearing the same title in partnership with Fella Makafui, DKB, Adjetey Anang, Mr Eazi, Stonebwoy, the list is endless.

Signed unto Lynx Entertainment, the entire production looks in-house. He has released several hit songs including Adiepena, Say You Love Me, Thunder, Odo, Mr Badman et al.
