It’s the first official solo record from Gucci Mello who was born and raised in the United Kingdom but traces his root to the motherland. Hence, his decision to blend the UK’s up-tempo music genre with the Afrobeat – of which Ghana is said to be at the centre of.
During the premiere of his latest single titled Big Boy Ting No Likkle Boy Ting hosted by media personality Bianca Buckman, the singer submitted his ambition, determination and purpose for deciding to join the music industry at the first place. Stating that music has been with him from infancy and promised to take it to the peak of the music chain.
His major headache which was re-emphasized by the media was the ability to stay in the UK and still prove his might in Ghana and other African countries including Nigeria which is also deeply rooted in Afrobeat. Of which he said, he has put in place a solid team on the ground here in Ghana to take care of that.
